Photos with meanings 2

1st photo: This photo represents people as the match sticks and all the red people are the same but the green stick represents a person that is different to the red stick, because it is green and stands out from the others.

2nd photo: Life is worth living so live every day to its fullest. You have to take risk and you never know what will happen. There is never a dull moment in life. This is because the people are jumping of of the bridge because they are taking risks and living life to its fullest.

3rd photo: Never give up and be stuck in your own little bubble for the rest of your life. You need move on and be brave and open up to the world. I think this because the fish is jumping from his little bubble to a big bowl as we would to the world

Photos with meanings

1st photo: The photo is saying that a book has more meaning than movies because there is more iceberg under the water than on top.

2nd photo:The photo is showing that the red man is the leader because he is the one in the middle that is different and all the others are the same and are afraid of change so the red man is helping the others out for change.

3rd photo: A picture can explain a thousand words because every picture has millions of words in in and all those words have a meaning to life.

My photo: Here it is saying that people these days are a lot like couch potatoes. We sit on technology all day, and we need to become more active and get moving or we will turn into a potato.

Fact and Opinion

How can you tell the difference between fact and opinion?
The difference between fact and opinion is that a fact is true and that you can show someone that what you said is real and opinion what you think about something eg: cats are the best pet but that is what you think.

- Frogs,
Opinion= Frogs are the best pet, Frogs are so cool, They are beautiful.
Fact= A frog has four legs, frog's tongue is about 1/3 of their body, Frogs don’t drink water they absorb it through their skin.

There is also a page which allows you to set your pictures as a story which your friends can keep replaying but it only lasts 24 hours.
There are also special features with in the app like once you have taken a picture you can change the effect also change the font and add the time to your picture.

Apostrophes

- Explain the task of teaching apostrophes yesterday
The task of teaching apostrophes yesterday was to teach others were and when to put apostrophes into
your writing either it was a contraction or a word of possession.

- What went well?
What went well was that my student listened and did very well in placing the apostrophes in the right place and she did well with the contractions

- What didn’t go well?
What didn't go well yesterday was when the word Mr Mills came up we weren't sure were to put the apostrophe.

- What were one or two things you realised?
We realised that because Mr Mills has an s at the end of her name you place an apostrophe behind the s and place another s so it would be Mr Mills's

- Find 5 online practise links for apostrophes which would be useful for your student.

NFC tags

What are NFC tags?
They are a near field communication application, made by Samsung, that you can use with mobile smartphone devices

How do NFC tags work?

NFC tags are considered passive devices, which means that they operate without a power supply of their own and they come in range before there activated. Also with one touch NFC tags can turn the volume down, disable vibrate mode, deactivate bluetooth and set the brightness.

Where are NFC tags used?

They are used with NFC systems. They also combined into all sorts of products: posters promoting circus tour dates, ski lift passes, stickers, business cards, prescription bottles and even ruggedised labels meant for outdoor use. Also with one touch NFC tags can turn the volume down, disable vibrate mode, deactivate bluetooth and set the brightness.

What is so good about NFC tags?

Whats good about NFC tags is that they can be locked so once data is written onto it, it can not be altered. If you want to disable WiFi to save battery when you leave home? Put a tag near your front door. One other thing is that if you put a NFC tag in your car you can just swipe and go and it will unlock your car

What is something bad about NFC tags?

Sometimes the phones struggle to pick up the tags 75% of the time , you have to close for it to work, if you drop your phone someone can go up to your car and unlock it.
